Drawing with Sharpies! ✍️ ✨
Here are three sketchbook drawing ideas to try with three different sharpies! ✍️✨
Materials:
- Strathmore sketchbook 5.5” x 8.5” size 📕
- Sharpie markers: Olive 🫒, burgundy 🐙, and brown 🍄🟫
The Idea:
This weekend I was traveling light with just my sketchbook and a few pens. 😩 I had a lot of down time and wanted to draw - so I ended up finding three random sharpies lying around and decided to spend the weekend learning to draw with them!
The creations in order:
1- Martini 🫒
2- Cafe Latte ☕️
3- Dirty Martini 🍸
I really enjoyed drawing with sharpies (except for the smell 🤢) I felt like I could try different art styles with them 💡- and having 3 colors made it more of a challenge as well!
Which drawing is your favorite? 😍
Have you ever drawn with sharpies? ✍️
Drawing with Sharpies is a refreshing way to express your creativity, and using these vibrant markers can elevate your sketching game. Sharpies come in various colors, and combining them can lead to exciting results. For instance, try layering shades of olive, burgundy, and brown to depict realistic drinks or foods. Start by sketching the outlines lightly to establish your design before filling in with colors. Additionally, using a Strathmore sketchbook ensures that your artwork remains neat; its fine-tooth surface is perfect for ink application. You can easily blend colors or create distinct highlights by varying your pressure on the marker. While many artists may find some Sharpies less odoriferous than others, taking small breaks or using them in well-ventilated spaces can make the experience more enjoyable. Explore different styles, such as doodling or more detailed illustrations, to find what feels right for you. Share your creations with the community using hashtags like #sketchbookideas or #sharpie, and connect with other artists who share similar interests. Don't forget to experiment and have fun! What will you create next?
