16 hours in my life
Taking a day to disconnect from the endless digital scroll can be truly refreshing. I decided to devote 16 hours to what I call a 'No Scroll Saturday,' where I intentionally step away from social media and screens to focus on mindful self-care and relaxation. My morning started with preparing a hot water latte, carefully heated to 180°C, which felt like a warm embrace to kickstart the day. Savoring each sip without any distractions helped me appreciate the simple joys often lost during screen time. Throughout the day, I included skincare rituals using products like OSEA’s Milky Cream and OUAI’s essence and liposome repair serums. These luxuriously nourishing products not only enhanced my skin’s hydration and natural glow but also grounded me in a calming routine that felt indulgent yet purposeful. The absence of scrolling freed up mental space, allowing me to notice small details such as the comforting scent of my skincare products and the warmth of my latte. I also took moments to fold clothes mindfully, an activity that strangely provided a sense of order and peace. By embracing this digital detox approach, I realized how habitual scrolling often drains energy and distracts from experiencing the present fully. This practice helped me reset my habits and inspired me to incorporate occasional no-scroll periods in my weekly routine. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by constant notifications and feeds, trying a no-scroll day, paired with self-care rituals, can be a rejuvenating way to reconnect with yourself and your environment. Trust me, it’s worth it!
