• Stir constantly with a heatproof spatula or wooden spoon as it melts and clumps, then turns to a smooth amber-colored liquid. Be patient — this takes 5–10 minutes.

2. Add the Butter:

• Carefully add the butter (it’ll bubble a lot!). Stir until fully melted and incorporated.

3. Add the Cream:

• Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring. Again, it will bubble and steam. Keep stirring until smooth.

4. Optional Salt:

• Stir in a pinch of salt if you want salted caramel.

5. Cool:

• Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then pour into a jar or container. It thickens as it cools.

Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
