The general exhibition at moca in Los Angeles talks about people and their lives. It feels like every endeavor a discovery. The exhibition chastises Israel Palestine conflicts, wars and political events through numerous photograph, prints and videos. It sets China apart from all these war filled images hanging out in the background and at the back. It points out China has become self satisfied with their recent activities it no longer pretends to be a neighbour who is peaceful. Etc.
Visiting the MOCA exhibition provided me with a profound and multifaceted perspective on the current geopolitical climate through art and media. The exhibition impressively uses photography, prints, and videos to encapsulate the emotional and societal impacts of ongoing conflicts like the Israel-Palestine dispute and other wars that have shaped recent history. What struck me most was how the exhibition deliberately isolates China from the visual narrative of these conflicts, placing it in a separate section toward the back.
