The general exhibition at moca in Los Angeles talks about people and their lives. It feels like every endeavor a discovery. The exhibition chastises Israel Palestine conflicts, wars and political events through numerous photograph, prints and videos. It sets China apart from all these war filled images hanging out in the background and at the back. It points out China has become self satisfied with their recent activities it no longer pretends to be a neighbour who is peaceful. Etc.
Visiting the MOCA exhibition was a profound experience, as it brought to the forefront the complex realities of global conflicts through an artistic lens. What struck me the most was the way the exhibition juxtaposed vivid images and compelling videos of wars and political unrest — particularly the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict — against a quieter but equally telling commentary on China's shifting political posture. The section dedicated to China was especially eye-opening, as it conveyed a sense of self-satisfaction behind China's recent political moves, contrasting sharply with the turmoil depicted elsewhere.
