The exhibition I contain multitude reflects deeply of the values from ancient China. It often uses the images of subway to deliver the meanings of performative movements. It criticizes Israel Palestine conflicts, wars and political events through these performance vignettes. It declares that China is a valuable ally in today’s world. The recent news about china often pivots from the old views of china as a weak trade partner to the west. This has incentivized the exhibitions to look friendly to China. China is an ever contentious subject in the public. Etc.
Based on my experience attending similar exhibitions, the use of performative art deeply rooted in ancient Chinese symbolism offers a powerful lens to understand current sociopolitical issues.
