💟 Lactily moms in real labor moments

6/3 Edited to

... Read moreLabor is a truly unpredictable experience, not just for the moms but also for their partners. Having gone through labor support myself, I noticed that each partner's reaction can dramatically affect the mother's experience. Some partners become a steady rock, offering calm reassurance and unwavering support, which can be incredibly comforting during intense contractions. Others may feel overwhelmed or anxious, pacing or asking many questions to make sense of the situation, showing their care in a different way. I remember my partner holding my hand, whispering encouraging words, even though he admitted feeling nervous inside. It made the experience feel more intimate and supportive. This range of partner reactions is normal and all stem from a deep desire to help in the best way they can. Engaging in open conversations about labor expectations ahead of time can help partners feel more prepared and present. Sharing these real stories helps normalize the mixed emotions and behaviors seen during labor and delivery. It’s important to remember that whether a partner is quiet, emotional, or actively involved, their support plays a crucial role. If you’re preparing for labor, consider discussing with your partner how they might react and ways they can support you that feel natural to them. Using hashtags like #breastfeedingmoms, #newmomjourney, and #laborandelivery can connect you with supportive communities where you can find comfort and advice from others with similar experiences. Everyone's story is unique, and sharing these moments helps build empathy and understanding around childbirth.

He was absolutely amazing! I didnt feel my contractions until I was about 8 cm. He still helped me to the bathroom, sat next to me, made me laugh and smile and feel absolutely beautiful, held my hand when I needed. I was worried that he was going to pass out when our daughter was coming out because he has a thing about blood, but he was great! He held my leg and he cut the cord. I couldn't have asked for a better partner!
