there was a time i didn’t think i’d ever get here.

i was hurting so much inside that giving up felt easier than fighting for myself. i didn’t see a future. i didn’t see love. i didn’t see peace. but even on the nights i felt completely alone, i kept choosing one more day.

one more try. one more reason to stay.

and because of that… i get to live a life i never believed i deserved. i get to marry the love of my life. i get to wake up feeling safe in my own body. i get to be the woman the younger me prayed for.
