Another tip is to consider how the oil feels on your hair and scalp. Genuine oils absorb well without leaving a greasy residue and can soothe irritation or dryness. Oils labeled as “premium hair oils” sometimes include other ingredients marketed for fragrance or shelf life rather than true nourishment, so don't be misled by marketing language. For those with natural hair textures similar to mine, like 4B, hydration and avoiding harmful chemicals are key. Supplementing hair care with protective styles such as knotless braids can also help maintain moisture and reduce mechanical damage. Ultimately, be a savvy shopper by turning the bottle around before buying, doing research on brands, and trusting your hair’s response. Quality hair oils are worth the investment when they truly support hair health and growth instead of just offering empty promises.
