One of my go-to strategies has been choosing the right clothing to help manage these symptoms. Clothes made from moisture-wicking fabrics, such as DRI-FIT, are especially helpful because they keep sweat away from the skin and can prevent pollen from clinging to your clothes. Wearing long sleeves and pants in these breathable materials provides added protection when spending time outdoors. In addition to clothing, I find that keeping windows closed during peak pollen times and using air purifiers indoors can drastically reduce allergen exposure. Showering and changing clothes immediately after being outside also help to wash off pollen and minimize irritation. Staying hydrated and using saline nasal sprays are other simple yet effective ways to soothe nasal passages affected by allergens. For those who exercise outdoors, opting for early morning or late evening when pollen counts tend to be lower can make a big difference. Incorporating these small steps into your daily routine can significantly ease allergy symptoms and improve overall comfort during allergy season.
