What i did when i was unemployed

... Read moreWhen unemployment hits, it can feel overwhelming, but it also opens a door to new experiences and personal growth. During my time without work, I decided to embrace the opportunity to explore nature and local culture. One of my memorable outings was visiting a waterfall that involved a challenging 200-step hike, a true test of endurance but rewarding with stunning views. Although the trail wasn't wheelchair accessible, it reminded me of the importance of physical activity and getting outside to refresh the mind. Beyond hiking, I made sure to sample local delicacies. Mango ice cream took center stage, offering a delightful treat that showcased the unique qualities of mangoes from the Philippines and Thailand. The finer fibers, sweeter taste, and juicier meat of Philippine mangoes made quite an impression compared to others. Exploring local farms, like a rice and mango farm, gave me a deeper appreciation for the hard work behind these flavors. These simple but meaningful adventures not only helped me stay active but also brought joy and a fresh perspective during a challenging time. If you find yourself unemployed, consider turning to nature and local food experiences—they can be great ways to boost your spirits, stay healthy, and discover new passions.

why equality doesn't work in my relationship…
I used to be someone who would always be focused on EQUALITY in my relationship ALL THE TIME. If I didn’t see my partner pulling his weight 50/50 one day, I would be so upset. I tried to make sure EVERYTHING was 50/50. Chores. Expenses. You name it. But I realized just how unhappy and more importan

What being unemployed taught me!
#ratingjobs #lemon8challenge The gap in my resume taught me more than a job ever did. I was unemployed for a few months, and it shook my identity. But it also gave me clarity. I learned to detach my worth from my title. I explored new skills, hobbies, and healed from burnout. That “gap” was

When you don’t make your reading goal…
Something I’ve learned over these three years that I’ve had a reading goal is to not only have just a number. This year I set out to read 50 books, 10 less than my goal last year (which I just barely missed at 56). Last year I was just coming out of college and unemployed and 60 seemed reasonable
