Air Fryer Caramel Apple Pie Bombs with Cheesecake Drizzle
I made these for a Friday movie night and they vanished between scenes. Warm apple filling inside fluffy biscuit dough, rolled in cinnamon sugar with a creamy drizzle.
Ingredients:
• 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
• 1 cup apple pie filling chopped small or quick skillet apples
• 2 tbsp brown sugar for skillet apples
• 1 by 2 tsp cinnamon plus more for rolling
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• 2 tbsp water
• 2 tbsp sugar for rolling
• Cooking spray
• Drizzle 4 oz cream cheese softened, 3 tbsp powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, 1 by 2 tsp vanilla
• Optional caramel sauce for extra drizzle
Methods:
If using fresh apples, cook diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water in a small skillet 4 to 5 minutes until tender, then cool.
Flatten each biscuit into a small circle with your fingers.
Spoon a tablespoon of apple filling into the center. Pinch edges closed to seal like a little dumpling.
Preheat air fryer to 360 F for 3 minutes. Mist the basket lightly with spray.
Place bombs seam side down in a single layer with space around each.
Air fry 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until puffed and golden.
Mix sugar and a little cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
While warm, lightly mist bombs with spray and tumble in cinnamon sugar for a sparkly coat.
Beat drizzle ingredients until smooth and spoonable.
Drizzle the warm bombs with cheesecake glaze and a touch of caramel if you like, then serve right away.
