There was a season in my life where I felt spiritually adrift. I knew of God, but true, deep-rooted faith felt elusive. Then I truly understood Romans 10:17 – “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” It hit me: faith isn't just a feeling; it's actively engaging with and immersing myself in His Word. For me, this meant setting aside time each day, not just to read, but to listen to what the scripture was saying to my heart. It's like planting a seed; you can't just throw it on the ground and expect it to grow. You need to nurture it, water it, give it sunlight. Our faith is the same. Consistently hearing, reading, and meditating on God's truth is how it takes root and flourishes. This realization deeply connected with another powerful scripture that often comes to mind when I feel weary: Psalms 107:8-9. “Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” I’ve experienced firsthand that spiritual thirst and hunger. When life throws curveballs, it’s easy to feel depleted. But time and again, His Word has been that refreshing drink and nourishing meal for my soul. It restores, renews, and strengthens in ways nothing else can. It’s a testimony to His unfailing love – a love that truly satisfies every deep longing. Reflecting on this, I often think about Mary's incredible example in Luke 1:46-47. She declared, “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” Even facing something so monumental, her response was to “HONOR GOD” with praise and worship. It reminds me that our faith journey isn't just about what God does for us, but also how we respond to Him. When we actively praise Him for His promises, even before they fully unfold, our spirits rejoice. This practice shifts our perspective, moving us from worry to worship, from doubt to unwavering trust in His divine plan. And speaking of trust, the passage from Luke 1:44-45, where John the Baptist leaped for joy in Elizabeth's womb, underscores God's perfect timing and promise-keeping. Sometimes, my mind is filled with 'MY CONCERNS,' worries about the future, or current challenges. But learning to cast those concerns upon Him, as this narrative subtly encourages, has been transformative. The Lord does fulfill His promises. Just as He orchestrated every detail for Jesus's arrival, He is intimately involved in every aspect of our lives. We are called to share our hearts with Him, knowing His faithfulness is absolute. It's like a heavy burden lifted, replaced by a quiet confidence that JESUS LOVES YOU!!! and is working all things for good. So, whether you're grappling with doubts, seeking renewed strength, or simply wanting to deepen your connection with the Divine, returning to these foundational scriptures, Romans 10:17 and Psalms 107:8-9, can be a powerful anchor. Let His Word not only be heard but lived, applied, and shared. It’s how our faith grows, how our spirits are revitalized, and how we can truly live in the overflowing abundance of His grace.
