Reflecting on Matthew 10:20 (NIV), it’s comforting to realize that when we feel unsure of what to say, God’s Spirit is actively working within us, guiding our words. In my own experience, I’ve often faced moments where I hesitated before sharing my faith or testimony because I worried about finding the right words or being judged. However, trusting that the Spirit speaks through me has transformed those moments of doubt into powerful opportunities to inspire others. This verse reminds me that evangelism and sharing one’s beliefs is not solely dependent on human skill, but on divine inspiration. It encourages us to rely not on our own eloquence but on the Spirit’s guidance. It’s like having a constant divine coach whispering the right message at the right time. This inner assurance empowers many believers to overcome anxiety or fear in speaking about their faith, whether in personal conversations or public settings. Moreover, the awareness that 'it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you' can also bring great peace and courage. This means no matter the outcome or reaction, God’s purpose is being fulfilled through your willingness to be His vessel. I find that incorporating prayer before sharing my testimony helps me tune into the Spirit’s voice more clearly. Also, reflecting regularly on verses like Romans 5:8 and Psalms 105:4, which celebrate God’s love and strength, deepens my trust that He is present and active in the process. So, if you ever feel inadequate or silent, remember this beautiful truth: your voice is powerful because God’s Spirit lives within you, inspiring and enabling you to glorify Him effectively.
