✨HOW I LOST 30lbs- eating 5x daily/exercising✨
MOVEMENT & EXERCISE
DO WHAT YOU KNOW. DO WHAT YOU LIKE. DO WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO.
Before we talk about specific workouts, this matters most:
Do what you know.
Do what you like.
Do what you’ll be consistent with.
If you walk every day — that’s you, honey. That’s your thing.
If you like riding a bike, get a moving down the road.
If you like kickboxing, tennis, golf, or pickleball (which everyone seems to be playing now), do that.
There is no “best” workout — only the one you’ll actually show up for.
Anything that gets your body moving counts.
Any movement is better than no movement at all.
This is not about perfection. It’s about consistency.
⸻
YOU DO NOT NEED AN EXPENSIVE GYM MEMBERSHIP
You do not need a $170/month gym membership to lose weight.
You need movement, repetition, and the mindset that something always beats nothing.
This plan is about moving your body in ways that are:
• Accessible
• Enjoyable
• Realistic
Because that’s what people stick with.
⸻
YOUTUBE IS YOUR FRIEND
One of the easiest ways to move at home is YouTube workouts, especially dance-based cardio like Zumba.
ZUMBA (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
Zumba is fun, energizing, and surprisingly effective.
Step estimates:
• 30 minutes: ~3,300 steps
• 45 minutes: ~5,000 steps
• 60 minutes: ~7,000–8,000 steps
That’s real movement — not just “exercise.”
Great instructors on YouTube:
• Get Fit with Rick
• Zumba with Tanju (T-A-N-J-U)
Both are upbeat, easy to follow, and make the time go fast.
⸻
IF YOU’RE TIRED: DO LESS, NOT NOTHING
This is important:
Something is always better than nothing.
If you’re tired or not feeling great:
• Do 10 minutes
• Do 15 minutes
If you do 10 minutes a day for a week, that’s over an hour of movement you wouldn’t have done if you stayed on the couch.
Momentum matters more than intensity.
⸻
PILATES (WITHOUT A STUDIO)
You don’t need a Pilates studio to do Pilates.
• Search “Pilates workout” on YouTube
• There are tons of free options
Instructor recommendation:
• Lidia Mera (L-I-D-I-A M-E-R-A)
You can also search:
• “Beginner Pilates”
• “20-minute Pilates”
• “Low-impact Pilates”
⸻
STEPS WITHOUT A SMART WATCH
No fitness tracker? No problem.
You can literally search YouTube for:
• “5,000 step workout”
• “Indoor walking workout”
• “Walking workout at home”
Follow along and move your body. It counts.
⸻
CARDIO + STRENGTH = BEST RESULTS
If you can, aim for a mix during the week.
Strength training (about 2 days/week)
This can be very simple: if you get the OMO app it has built in easy to follow 7-13 min daily workouts.
• Push-ups (modified is fine)
• Squats
• Jumping jacks
• Planks
• Light weights or resistance bands
Strength training:
• Builds muscle
• Protects metabolism
• Improves body composition
Cardio (other days)
• Zumba
• Walking
• kickboxing
• Biking
• Low-impact cardio
If you miss a day, do not beat yourself up.
Just move again the next day.
⸻
MOVE WHILE YOU LIVE
Movement doesn’t have to look like a workout.
All of this counts:
• Cleaning the house
• Doing laundry
• Cooking
• Gardening or yard work
• Walking the dog
• Playing with kids
• Running errands
- Doing home repairs
- Cutting the grass
If you’re moving, you’re burning calories.
⸻
MOVE WHILE WATCHING TV
Instead of sitting completely still:
• Lie on the floor and do Pilates V leg opens/closes
• Do arm circles
• Sit in a chair and do toe taps
• Stretch or use resistance bands
Thirty minutes of movement during a show is still thirty minutes of movement.
⸻
THE BOTTOM LINE
Try not to:
• Sit all day at work
• Then sit all evening at home
Just move your body as much as you reasonably can.
The equation is simple:
• More movement = more calories burned
• More calories burned = more weight lost
No expensive gym.
No perfect plan.
Just movement — consistently.

That's interesting to hear. I didn't know that you could look up short workout video clips on YouTube. Another person who is good to look up for workout videos on Google is Diamond Dallas Page. He shows you how to do yoga, and let's you know that you can do a modified version of yoga if you need to especially if you are disabled or have limited mobility due to certain issues from health conditions. You might want to look him up as well.
