Iran isn’t fighting a traditional war, it’s fighting a war of cost.
By using a decentralized strategy—proxies, drones, missiles, and pressure on the Strait of Hormuz—it spends relatively little while forcing the U.S. and its allies to spend massively on defense, interception, naval deployments, and protecting Israel.
That’s the real battlefield: not just territory, but economics, endurance, and who can afford to keep going longer.
