Placenta Encapsulation & Placenta Art

#lemon8diarychallenge

Hey 🍋8️⃣ers,

Have you ever heard of placenta encapsulation? Yeaa me either ! Until I was pregnant with baby number 4. I mean I’ve heard stories in the past about moms eating their placenta for nutrients but have you seen that thing ? It’s a bloody sac that kept your baby safe for 10 months with the cord attached. There was no way I’d eat that thing in its rare form !…UNTIL I heard about PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION!

Okay so it’s basically when you get your placenta turned into pills. They dehydrate it and do other things to it which makes it safe to consume. The purpose is to help moms feel like themselves after the birth of their baby. The placenta apparently is loaded with all kinds of nutrients so when your consuming it, your putting all those nutrients back into your body!

What sold me is the prevention of POST PARTUM DEPRESSION. Post partum depression is a whole different monster that I did not want to unleash! I’ve had PPD in the past with baby number 1, and now with 4 kids I had no time for chances! I thought “Hey, why not. If it works it’s worth every penny!”

I used a company based in California called Mommy Made Encapsulation. It’s pretty popular as alot of celebrities have used this company, and recently, many mommies are now learning the benefits of ensulating their placenta. I paid a total of $364.65 with this company. If you have a midwife, check with her to see if she’s certified in encapsulation also because I’ve noticed some of the midwives I’ve came in contact with also had this certification. I also found a few local women in my area who were certified to encapsulate. They charged a much lower price however, I felt more comfortable knowing MME had an actual “Lab” where they processed the placenta in a clean environment vs a kitchen 😅.

I inquired, they sent me an invoice, once paid I quickly received the big white box with everything I needed to send my placenta off to them. They did their thing, and sent my placenta back in the form of pills! They offer different yummy flavors to make your pills taste better when u swallow them, and I chose bubble gum !

I will say, I did notice a huge difference with how I felt when I took the pills vs when I did not. They definitely work!

The artwork was an additional add on, and it’s an actual photo of my placenta made to resemble a tree (TREE OF LIFE) before being turned to pills. It’s painted with food coloring with my color choice.

Let me know what you think below ! Would you try placenta encapsulation?

... Read moreAfter reading about this incredible journey into placenta encapsulation, I'm sure many of you are like I was – intrigued but with so many questions! It’s such a unique way to support your body postpartum, and understanding the 'placenta encapsulation process' really helps demystify it. First off, let’s talk about the 'placenta dehydration process' and what actually happens when your placenta is turned into 'placenta pills postpartum'. There are generally two main methods that encapsulators use. The first is the Raw method, where the placenta is meticulously cleaned, then thinly sliced, and placed into a specialized 'dehydrator' until it’s completely 'dried placenta'. Once fully dry, it's ground into a fine powder and then encapsulated into easy-to-take pills. This method is often chosen by those who believe it preserves the maximum amount of nutrients and enzymes, aiming for a potent supplement. The second common method is the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) method. This approach involves first gently steaming the placenta, often with herbs like ginger or lemon, before the 'dehydrating' and encapsulating process. The TCM philosophy views steaming as a way to warm and nourish the mother's body, which is considered essential for postpartum healing and recovery. Both methods ultimately lead to those crucial 'placenta capsules' that many moms swear by. Beyond the vital role in preventing postpartum depression, which is a huge concern for so many of us, these 'medicine made from placenta' pills are often credited with a host of other benefits. Many users report increased energy levels, helping to combat that intense new-mom fatigue. Some mothers also find that it aids in reducing postpartum bleeding and can even support milk supply. The idea is that you're returning essential hormones and nutrients back to your body that were depleted during pregnancy and childbirth, helping to rebalance your system. Choosing the right provider for your 'placenta encapsulation' is paramount. Just like the original poster shared their positive experience with 'Mommy Made Encapsulation,' it’s so important to find a certified and reputable company. My research emphasized checking for proper sanitation protocols and a professional workspace. You want to ensure your placenta is handled in a sterile environment, whether it's a dedicated lab or a properly equipped and maintained workspace, not just a kitchen. Don't hesitate to ask about their certification, training, and the steps they take to ensure hygiene throughout the entire 'placenta encapsulation process steps.' Understanding the 'placenta encapsulation meaning' and what it entails helped me feel so much more comfortable. It’s a very personal decision, but for many, it offers a holistic approach to postpartum recovery, aiming to nurture the mother as she recovers and bonds with her new baby. If you're considering it, doing your homework and asking lots of questions will help you make the best choice for your journey!
