I Encapsulated My Placenta

This is my second time helping my body recover after pregnancy by digesting my placenta. The first time I just added the placenta powder in smoothies and on my food. This time I decided to make pills that I plan to take every morning.

Please understand this is not something you have to agree with at all, but it is something that works for me and my body ❤️.

I will be uploading the way I encapsulated my placenta to my YouTube channel Jen Armstrong @armMRSstrong if you are interested in watching ⭐️

... Read moreEncapsulating placenta, also known as placenta encapsulation, is a growing practice among new mothers seeking to boost recovery. Many believe that ingesting the placenta can help restore energy levels, balance hormones, and reduce the likelihood of postpartum depression. While scientific research is limited, anecdotal evidence suggests positive effects, including improved lactation and reduced fatigue. In the process of encapsulation, the placenta is typically steamed, dehydrated, and ground into powder before being placed into capsules, making it easy to consume daily. It's crucial for mothers considering this to consult with healthcare providers and ensure all safety measures are in place. Additionally, many mothers document their journey online, creating a supportive community around the practice. Whether you're curious or looking for ways to enhance your postpartum recovery, exploring options like placenta encapsulation could provide valuable insights. Remember to embrace vulnerability and share your experiences with others on platforms like YouTube and content sharing apps, where supportive discussions can flourish.

If you want to know how to get your placenta from the hospital all you have to do is tell them you will be taking it. 1. They will have you fill out a form/waiver. 2. Bring a cooler the day you will give birth. (As soon as the placenta came out we had to get it in a cooler and from that point we had 2 hours max to get it in a fridge at home. 3. My doctor recommended it and my nurses said they will also be planning to encapsulate their placenta. 4. Many people will have opinions on this and that’s okay! I do what’s best for my motherhood journey ❤️ 5. You can believe online resources and allow them to feed you whatever they want. What they won’t say is if you don’t take your placenta then the hospital sells it for $50,000+ Or That placentas are used to advance medical research and create more medicines that they will give you for top dollar. Something your body created naturally is used as an “ingredient” in their medical advancement. I’m not an expert but I would rather heal my body the way I choose to without needing anything extra.

Just a fyi for those that arent aware but the CDC Doesn’t recommend eating your placenta encapsulated or not, due to the risk of strep B infection. It’s almost impossible to sterilize the placenta to make it safe for consumption, especially if delivered vaginally. Also common side effects are headache and nausea

When my doula first suggested I keep my placenta, I didn’t see the point because I didn’t want to eat it. She suggested creating a fertilizer with it and using it in my garden, and then I was in. It’s truly remarkable how your body changes during pregnancy, and I wanted a way to honor that. Highly

why i ate my placenta 🙊
I chose to encapsulate my placenta (short shelf life), and have it made into a tincture (lasts a lot longer). For me personally, taking placenta pills helped ward off baby blues, increased my milk supply and have me more energy. I’ve done this with both of my babies and would do it again. #momhott
