what has helped my nb sleep through the night
It was VERY rough for the first month and a half as she was waking up every 30-45 minutes to breastfeed. Even though I was going through extreme sleep deprivation I stayed consistent on her sleeping in her crib because I have an extreme fear of sids. it is definitely not easy but this is what i believe has helped me. I also switched to formula because i stopped supplying enough #lemon8contest #AskLemon8
Establishing a consistent sleep routine is crucial in helping newborns sleep through the night. According to the experiences shared, maintaining a consistent sleep environment such as placing the baby in her crib every night helped foster better sleep habits and reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Incorporating soothing techniques, like using white noise machines, creates a calming atmosphere that can help babies fall asleep and stay asleep longer. Additionally, offering comfort objects such as a security blanket can provide reassurance to the newborn without compromising safety. Feeding adjustments, including switching to formula when breastfeeding supply is insufficient, can also impact sleep quality positively. Formula tends to digest more slowly, allowing infants to feel full for longer periods, reducing frequent night wakings. Balancing sleep safety with the baby's feeding needs is vital. Parents should continue to monitor safe sleep practices, keeping the crib clear of loose bedding and toys. Overall, patience and consistency are key. It often takes several weeks for newborns to develop a steady sleep cycle. Using a combination of safe sleeping habits, soothing routines, and appropriate feeding options supports better sleep outcomes for both babies and parents.

I got blessed. My baby slept through the night from the day. I brought them home, but I also co-slept with mine. They were in the middle of the bed with pillows on either side so that they we can get rolled on in the middle of the night. I also breast-fed so I didn’t have to get out of bed. I just nursed on one side change their diaper nursed on the other side burp them, and put them right back to bed. I read a study how to France that babies are less likely to pass from SIDS when sleeping with their parents becauseit keeps them from falling into a deep sleep. I know the subject is controversial, but it’s what worked for me and mine.
