Morning routine for a homeschooling mama

Starting the day early keeps our homeschooling routine running smoothly! 🌞 Homeschooling is right for our family because it allows us the flexibility to learn in ways that suit us best. We finish school in about 3 hours, and then we have 2 hours of learning activities—whether that’s online, through nature and play, or educational shows. After that, we can do whatever we want for the rest of the day! As long as we get 5 hours of learning in, our day feels complete. 💕 How do you manage your homeschooling schedule?

... Read moreA successful morning routine is vital for homeschooling parents to manage both educational duties and personal well-being. Starting your day early can set the tone for a productive and fulfilling experience. Begin with simple activities like making coffee while reviewing lesson plans to keep your day organized. A well-structured schedule often includes designated times for learning, breaks, and family activities. For instance, a common routine might start at 6:00 AM with a refreshing coffee and laundry, followed by family breakfast to foster connection before lessons begin. It's also beneficial to incorporate outdoor playtime, such as a quick play session at 9:00 AM, allowing children to release energy before engaging in academic tasks. Furthermore, engaging educational activities can vary, from hands-on learning through nature to utilizing educational shows that captivate kids’ interests. Remember, flexibility is key in homeschooling—adjust the routine based on what works best for your family. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that both kids and parents thrive in a cohesive learning environment, making your homeschooling journey not just educational but enjoyable.

What’s the rest of your day like? I’m curious. I have a 2.5 yo and a baby due in February. I feel a bit lost some days. Unsure what kind of activities to do with my son. He’s a very independent player, and usually entertains himself but I want to add more educational activities
