It's about how you treat people and make them feel valued. Every interaction is an opportunity to demonstrate what kind of leader you are—whether that inspires confidence or instills fear. I recall a time when a manager I worked with chose to build up the team by recognizing individual strengths and encouraging growth. This created an environment where confidence flourished and people felt empowered to take on new challenges. On the other hand, I've also witnessed leadership that focused solely on authority, which made people feel replaceable and hesitant to contribute fully. Leadership influence is a choice. You can either use your position to create chances for others or let fear dominate the workplace. The most memorable leaders are not always those with the highest IQ or longest tenure but those who made others believe in their potential and nurtured workplace culture. By fostering trust and confidence, a leader leaves a lasting legacy that outlives any temporary title. This mindset not only improves team morale but also boosts organizational success as people become more engaged and motivated to excel.
