Self-care isn’t bubble baths and spa days.
Most people think self-care is something you do occasionally.
A vacation.
A massage.
A day off.
But real self-care is what you do every day.
It’s the habits that protect your energy before you need rescuing.
For me, self-care looks like:
🏃 Moving my body regularly
😴 Prioritizing sleep
🥩 Eating foods that fuel performance
🧠 Protecting my mindset
💨 Managing stress before it compounds
👨👩👧 Investing in relationships
📅 Creating routines that reduce chaos
🔋 Taking recovery seriously
The older I get, the more I realize:
Your health, energy, mood, focus, and relationships don’t happen by accident.
They are built by the systems you repeat.
You don’t rise to your intentions.
You fall to your habits.
And the best self-care isn’t about escaping life.
It’s about building the physical, mental, and emotional capacity to fully engage with it.
Because when you take care of yourself…
You show up better for your spouse.
Your children.
Your career.
Your goals.
And ultimately, yourself.
Which of these 8 foundations needs the most attention in your life right now?

yes! all these things are important but dont lower theo importance of massage therapy and chiropractic care! the Spine is the cornerstone of physical health and massage therapy can help with detox and keep circulation going to enhance all the other things you mentioned. Things you mentioned for daily self care, or at least several times a week. but weekly chiropractor appointments and biweekly or monthly massage therapy will help all aspects of health too. im not talking about wasting hours and hours or spending hundreds of dollars. Im talking treating it as a legit therapy appointment just like Physical therapy or OT. It has improved my health mentally emotionally physically AND Spiritually.
