Adults do not need to be controlled into doing good work.
They need to understand what is expected, have the resources to do it, and be trusted enough to follow through.
Control may create short-term compliance, but it rarely creates real commitment.
When people are treated like they cannot be trusted, they usually stop feeling invested.
The goal of leadership should not be to monitor people into productivity.
It should be to create the kind of environment where capable adults can actually do their best work.
