had a sugar crush after a long week 🤓

... Read moreAfter going through a hectic week filled with illness and constant work, I found that treating myself to some sweet snacks was a great way to lift my spirits. I grabbed a couple of donuts, including one that was a bit firmer than I anticipated, and paired them with fresh milk. The contrast between the texture of the donuts and the creaminess of the milk was interesting, although I didn’t immediately favor the first one. The second donut was a matcha mochian with a bean paste center, which I enjoyed much more. The subtle bitterness of the matcha combined with the sweetness of the bean filling created a perfect balance of flavors. Interestingly, I decided to try dipping the donuts into the milk after seeing others do it, and this simple trick enhanced the overall taste by softening the donut and adding moisture. Sharing this experience makes me realize how small joys, like a brief snack pause featuring simple combinations of flavors, can greatly improve a rough week. Whether it’s the satisfying crunch or the creamy milk complement, these moments offer a nice mental break. I recommend anyone going through a busy or tiring time to try some comforting snacks combined with refreshing beverages—it can be a surprisingly uplifting ritual.
