I really am anxious to see how the author wraps this up
The spice in the story was absolutely brilliant! It’s one of the things that kept my interest.
I always love a good forced-proximity, one bed, grumpy/sunshine trope 😍
There was a bit too much repetition over the MMC, Callum’s, self denial. He refuses to entertain the idea of a relationship. He is also in denial about his sister and his best friend which I found weird. No one’s that blind.
I didn’t like how the FMC, Eve, was hell bent on not telling Callum about her situation. And that he just let it go and never forced her to talk to him. Overall, it made his character confusing and not all together that bright.
And someone please explain to me why the entire town hates Callum?? It still doesn’t make sense to me.
Overall, it was an interesting story. There was a twist towards the end I liked. The chemistry between the MC’s was phenomenal and made me jealous!

Read moreTender Hearts captivates readers with its strong use of popular romance tropes such as forced proximity, one bed scenarios, and the grumpy/sunshine dynamic, which have become beloved elements in contemporary romance literature. These tropes effectively build tension and emotional intimacy between the protagonists, Callum and Eve, making their evolving relationship deeply engaging.
A significant aspect of the story lies in Callum’s complex characterization—his self-denial and stubborn refusal to acknowledge a relationship, coupled with denial about his sister and best friend, add layers to his personality. Although some readers may find these traits repetitive or puzzling, this internal conflict provides a realistic portrayal of emotional barriers, contributing to the narrative’s depth.
Eve’s reluctance to disclose her personal struggles further complicates the storyline, creating a veil of secrecy that heightens suspense and character development. This choice reflects the common theme in romance where communication—or the lack thereof—serves as a critical obstacle to intimacy, enhancing the story’s realism and relatability.
The mystery surrounding the town’s collective animosity towards Callum introduces an intriguing subplot. This element not only intensifies the main characters’ challenges but also encourages readers to anticipate resolution in upcoming installments, making the cliffhanger ending even more compelling.
