What are some ways you earned extracash in college

I'm currently trying to pay off tuition out of my own pocket while paying rent, utilities, groceries, etc. I'm living paycheck to paycheck right now but want to have better savings for a rainy day.

I don't want to donate plasma haha. Any suggestions? I'm a great babysitter but I'm not sure where to find babysitting gigs. I could see myself doing private tutoring or teaching of some kind. I like the outdoors. Open to just about anything!

Also if you have ideas of where to find scholarships for school I would really appreciate it. I feel like bold.org and FAFSA is just a scam and things like that haven't been very fruitful for me.

Appreciate any suggestions, and if you know of a better sub for this let me know as well.

Beyond traditional jobs, consider diverse options that align with your skills and interests. For instance, tutoring peers in subjects you excel in can be rewarding both academically and financially. Websites like Wyzant or Chegg Tutors can help you connect with students needing assistance. Additionally, if you enjoy working with children, look for babysitting opportunities on platforms like Care.com or local community boards. For outdoor enthusiasts, consider gig-based jobs like dog walking, yard work, or house sitting. Apps like Rover connect pet lovers with pet owners needing service. Internships, whether paid or unpaid, can also build experience and sometimes offer stipends. When it comes to scholarships, exploring local organizations or college-specific funds can yield better results than broad platforms like bold.org. It's also worth reaching out to department heads for additional opportunities. Networking with professors may reveal grants and scholarships available to students. Learning to manage your time effectively while balancing school and side jobs is crucial. Setting a schedule that prioritizes studies while allowing time for work will help maintain your academic performance. Seek out advice from peers or mentors who have navigated similar challenges effectively. By creatively exploring these avenues, you can earn the extra income you need to thrive in college life.

What I did in college to earn extra money was to ask who wanted a home-cooked meal on Sundays. I charged $10 a plate. That was for supplies and the cooking time. I made good money every week. Plus everyone called me Mama on campus.

Tutoring, Instacart, door dash or other delivery meal/shopping services. If you have a Walmart near you, check and see if they are hiring delivery persons, I believe they let you set your own schedule, much like Door Dash!
