Yes, Come…But Don’t Stay That Way!
✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙
Hey friends! 👋🏾 Let’s talk real for a minute. We love to throw around the phrase "COME AS YOU ARE"… but some folks use it like a HALL PASS to stay in their MESS 😬. Listen — JESUS welcomes us BROKEN 💔, but He doesn’t intend for us to stay BROKEN.
When we come to God, we come for HEALING 🛐, not to HIDE. We come for GROWTH 🌿, not to EXCUSE ourselves. He’s not just accepting us — He’s REBUILDING us 🔨. There’s a difference.
God is not your homeboy you casually text 📱 — He is HOLY 👑. The ground beneath Him is SACRED. He told Moses to take off his sandals because it wasn’t just dirt — it was HOLY GROUND (Exodus 3:5) 🙌🏾. That tells me we need to APPROACH GOD with HUMILITY and REVERENCE. Which also means respecting the call 📞 He places on our lives…we cannot show up raggedy😳!
So YES — COME as you are. But COME to be CHANGED. Come to be CONFRONTED in love 💌. Come to be FILLED and FORGIVEN. Let’s stop using that phrase to justify disorder and instead let it remind us that God meets us to MOVE us 🙌🏾.
📖 Scriptures to Meditate On🙏🏾: Romans 12:1–2, 2 Corinthians 5:17

In our spiritual journey, it's vital to remember that coming to God is not just about acceptance; it's about transformation. Many individuals may interpret 'Come as you are' as permission to remain unchanged, yet this phrase invites us to approach with honesty and a desire for growth. The Bible assures us in Romans 12:1-2 that we should present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This act of surrender opens the door for healing and rebuilding in our lives. Often in ministry, it's emphasized that to serve effectively, we must reflect God’s holiness in our actions and attitudes. Just as God instructed Moses to remove his sandals from holy ground, we must acknowledge the sacredness of our relationship with Him and the mission He calls us to undertake. Being aware of our shortcomings is the first step towards receiving God's grace and becoming the individuals He intends for us to be. Engaging with this journey means inviting God’s love into our lives — crucially, requiring us to relinquish our need to hide behind our mess. Instead, let’s encourage one another to embrace His transformative power, ensuring that as we welcome ourselves and others, we do so with the intent of rising to a higher calling in God’s plan. Remember, real change begins when we don't just come as we are but come ready to be transformed and to walk in His righteousness.
