Ending the Year in Light!

Let’s pray 🙏🏾 and get this day underway♥️!

Good morning my beautiful family ☀️💛. As we stand on NEW YEAR’S EVE, I can’t think of a better scripture to both END this year and BEGIN the next than John 1:5. The verse reminds us that the LIGHT shines in the DARKNESS, and the darkness CANNOT OVERCOME IT ✨📖.

That LIGHT is JESUS CHRIST, His WORD, and His TRUTH 🙏🏾. And here’s what I love about this scripture: it doesn’t pretend the darkness doesn’t exist 🌑. It doesn’t deny the UNCERTAINTY, the FEAR, the CONFUSION, or the HEAVINESS some of us carried this year 😔. Instead, it boldly declares that darkness is POWERLESS against the LIGHT 💡.

We all know how light works 🔦. You can be in a pitch-black room, unsure where to step, but the TINIest LIGHT—a candle 🕯️, a phone screen 📱—changes everything. You’re no longer blind. You can MOVE, TURN, and STEP FORWARD with confidence 🚶🏾‍♀️. That’s exactly how the WORD OF GOD works in our lives 🙌🏾.

God may not floodlight your entire future 🌄, but He will always show you the NEXT STEP 👣. And when Jesus is with you, you never walk alone 🫶🏾. As we close this year and step into 2026, let’s commit to staying IN THE WORD, IN RELATIONSHIP, and IN THE LIGHT ✨.

Let’s make 2026 THE YEAR OF THE LIGHT 💡. Let Him ILLUMINATE your path, your choices, your conversations, and the rooms you walk into 🏠. Darkness doesn’t win. LIGHT ALWAYS DOES 🕊️.
