The Truth About Purpose!
✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙
Good evening my blessed family. One of the biggest conversations people are having today is about PURPOSE 🎯🙏🏾. Everyone is searching for it, chasing it, and trying to “discover” it. But here’s something we need to remember as believers: PURPOSE doesn’t come from our PASSIONS or our PLANS.
It comes from GOD 🙌🏾✨.
When we start defining purpose by our PERSONAL DESIRES, we can easily mistake AMBITION for CALLING 🚶🏾♀️. But the Bible teaches that our lives were designed to bring GLORY to the LORD first. When we pursue HIM, He reveals what we are meant to do.
That’s why Jesus said to SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM 📖🙏🏾. Purpose flows out of relationship with God, not self-discovery.
Another misconception is that purpose must be something BIG, LOUD, or WORLD-CHANGING 🌍✨. But in God’s Kingdom, purpose often looks very different. Purpose may look like being a GOOD FRIEND 🤝🏾, showing up as a LOVING PARENT ❤️👨🏾👩🏾👧🏾, studying faithfully as a STUDENT 📚, doing honest work as an EMPLOYEE 💼, or serving quietly in MINISTRY ⛪.
Those assignments may seem ordinary to the world, but in God’s eyes they are powerful acts of FAITHFULNESS 🙏🏾✨. Yes, some people are called to influence nations. But many believers are called to influence their HOMES, NEIGHBORHOODS, CHURCHES, and WORKPLACES. And that everyday obedience can impact more lives than we will ever realize.
So instead of chasing purpose, let’s chase GOD. Because when we follow Him, our purpose naturally unfolds. 🙏🏾✨

Many people often wonder, "Lord, what is my purpose?" This is a deeply personal and spiritual question that leads many on a quest to understand their role in life. From my own journey, I’ve realized that purpose is less about grandiose achievements and more about faithfulness in everyday moments that align with God’s will. It’s tempting to chase passions or make plans based on personal desires, but I found that when I slowed down to seek God’s kingdom first, my true purpose began to unfold naturally. Purpose isn't always about making huge impacts on the world stage; it often lies in the seemingly ordinary acts — being a supportive friend, a loving family member, a dedicated student, or an honest worker. One piece of advice I cherish comes from the reminder in Matthew 6:33 to "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness." When I embedded this in daily life, my perspective shifted. Purpose became less about self-driven ambition and more about serving God faithfully in my current station. This shift brought a sense of peace and clarity. Moreover, in reflecting on the simple question "Lord, what is my purpose?" I’ve learned that God’s response isn’t always loud or dramatic. It’s often quiet, through scripture, prayer, and the community around us. Purpose can be found in nurturing relationships, honest work, and small acts of kindness that bring glory to God. This understanding helped me see that even while working a regular job or serving in local ministry, these roles hold immense spiritual significance. Everyday obedience, though unnoticed by the world, can ripple out and influence many lives, fulfilling God’s design. In conclusion, if you find yourself searching for purpose, consider shifting focus from chasing ambitions to deepening your relationship with God. Allow Him to reveal your calling through faithfulness in the daily walk. Your purpose will not only bring you fulfillment but will truly honor God’s glory.
