Are You An Unplugged Lamp?!
LET’s pray 🙏🏾 and get this day underway♥️! Good morning, my blessed family ☀️🙏🏾💛
Here’s the truth… you can’t give LIGHT✨ if you don’t HAVE LIGHT💡. Matthew 5:16 calls us to SHINE✨, but we miss the part where that LIGHT✨ comes from. It comes from being FILLED🌊 with Jesus FIRST.
If we’re not spending time in the WORD📖, if we’re not PRAYING🙏🏾, if we’re not seeking His PRESENCE🔥… then we’re running on EMPTY🚫. And EMPTY vessels can’t shine.
Being PLUGGED IN🔌 looks like DAILY SURRENDER🙌🏾, choosing OBEDIENCE✔️, walking in LOVE❤️, and staying HUMBLE🙏🏾. It means letting God shape your HEART💖 so your LIFE💫 reflects Him without even trying.
And when that happens… your LIGHT✨ becomes a WITNESS👀. People will SEE👁️ something different. They’ll feel PEACE🕊️, they’ll notice JOY😊, and they’ll be drawn to GOD👑.
So don’t just perform… CONNECT🔌. Don’t just talk… LIVE IT💯. That’s how your LIGHT✨ leads others to GLORIFY🙌🏾 Him.

In my own spiritual journey, I’ve realized that feeling disconnected from God is like being an unplugged lamp — no matter how bright the bulb, without power, it can’t shine. What truly lights me up each day is starting with prayer and intentionally seeking God’s presence. When I begin my mornings with a sincere prayer, like asking for courage and boldness to shine for Him even in dark times, it sets a tone that guides my entire day. I also found that consistent time spent reading the Word offers nourishment and clarity that replenishes my spirit. Without this fuel, my actions can feel hollow, and I struggle to live out my faith with genuine love and humility. But when I’m plugged in — practicing daily surrender and obedience — there’s a natural overflow of peace and joy. It becomes noticeable to others, and I’ve witnessed how this light can draw people toward God without me having to say a word. The key is connection, not just performance. It’s not about fulfilling religious duties but about living authentically in a way that reflects God’s character. The prayer image expressing a request for God’s guidance in shining His light resonates deeply—asking for boldness and awareness to stand firm even when faced with darkness has been transformative. This spiritual 'plugged-in' state isn’t always easy to maintain, especially when life gets busy or challenging. But returning to foundational scriptures like Psalm 119:105, which calls God’s word a lamp to our feet, reminds me that God’s light is always accessible. Choosing to remain connected daily ensures my lamp shines consistently, guiding me and encouraging others on their faith walks.
