What Are You Carrying Into The Room?
✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙
Good evening my blessed and beautiful family! 💛✨🙌🏾
I went to a volunteer rally at church tonight and my pastor shared something that hit my HEART ❤️🔥. She talked about Mary in John 12:3 breaking open that bottle of PERFUME 🧴 and the FRAGRANCE filled the entire house 🏡✨.
And the pastor said something so POWERFUL 💥… what you CARRY 🎒 FILLS the ROOM.
That made me pause 🤔. Because it’s not just about what we SAY 🗣️… it’s about our SPIRIT 🕊️, our ENERGY ⚡, our ATTITUDE 😊😒. Mary carried WORSHIP 🙌🏾, HONOR 👑, and LOVE ❤️… and it filled the space with something BEAUTIFUL 🌸.
But if we’re carrying STRESS 😩, OFFENSE 😒, or NEGATIVITY 😤… that spreads too 🌬️.
We are called to be the FRAGRANCE of CHRIST ✝️✨. So everywhere we go 🚶🏾♀️… we should leave behind PEACE 🕊️, KINDNESS 💖, and LIGHT 💡.
Check what you’re carrying today 👀. Because whether GOOD or BAD… it will be FELT.

When I reflect on the idea that "what you carry fills the room," I realize how much our unseen emotions and energies shape our interactions. Just like Mary’s perfume in John 12:3, which filled the house with a lasting fragrance, our spirit and attitude leave an invisible yet powerful impression on those around us. In my personal experience, walking into a gathering while carrying stress or negativity often feels like bringing a heavy cloud with me—people sense it even if I don't speak. Conversely, when I approach situations with calm and positive energy, the atmosphere changes noticeably, inviting openness and warmth. This teaches us to check our inner state regularly. Are we carrying peace, gratitude, and love, or are burdens like offense and worry weighing us down? Practicing mindfulness and prayer can help shift our energy to align with the fruits of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22–23, such as kindness, patience, and self-control. Moreover, the OCR’s message about a distinctive fragrance in the atmosphere resonates deeply. It reminds me that our character and emotions emanate as a 'fragrance,' influencing the environment without words. Choosing to embody positivity and faith isn’t just a personal benefit; it blesses the community and glorifies God. Ultimately, our presence is a gift or a challenge to those we meet every day. Striving to “be the fragrance of Christ” means actively cultivating qualities that foster peace, respect, and joy. This perspective helps me approach life with greater intentionality—making sure I carry what uplifts and encourages rather than what burdens and divides. So today, take a moment to consider what you’re carrying into every room and interaction. Your spirit is not silent—it speaks volumes and leaves a lasting impression. Choose wisely and let your energy be a light in the darkness, a reflection of Christ’s love and grace.
