... Read moreFrom my personal journey of recovering from narcissistic abuse, I've found that the most perplexing and harmful trait of narcissists is their extreme hypocrisy. They react explosively to trivial things—like not loading the dishwasher correctly or even just ‘existing’ in a way that displeases them. These small triggers can lead to disproportionate emotional meltdowns that leave you drained and confused. Yet, when you try to point out their long-term manipulative and abusive behavior, they suddenly shift to minimizing their actions, invoking excuses like ‘everyone makes mistakes’ or ‘let's move forward.’ This double standard creates a confusing environment where you feel unworthy or overly sensitive, while their harmful behavior goes unacknowledged. Recognizing this pattern helped me reclaim my sense of reality. It’s essential to understand that such hypocrisy isn’t accidental; it’s a manipulation tactic to control and gaslight you. Knowing this can empower victims to set boundaries, seek support, and focus on their healing without getting trapped in the narcissist's distorted logic. If you or someone you know experiences similar dynamics, remember that these reactions are not about you but about the narcissist’s need for control and validation. Healing comes from acknowledging the truth of the abuse and reaffirming your self-worth beyond their contradictory judgments.

Calling narcissistic abuse for what it is isn’t mean
Apparently using the correct word to describe a narcissist and being able to name the abuse is “going too far.” 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Meanwhile they called us every name in the book. Tell me in the comments - what’s the most outrageous thing the narcissist in your life ever called you? #narctok
