... Read moreNarcissistic abuse is often misunderstood by many who witness it but don't experience it firsthand. From personal experience, the calculated nature of such abuse becomes clear when you realize it's not just about meeting the narcissist's needs but about maintaining control and deriving satisfaction from their victim’s emotional confusion. The phrase "emotionally bamboozled state" perfectly describes what victims often feel—lost, manipulated, and drained. I found that recognizing the intentionality behind their actions helped me set firmer boundaries. Although it’s tempting to look for reasons or hope the narcissist will change, it's important to understand that their behavior is not about reason but about an insatiable need for supply—attention and emotional reactions—which fuels the cycle of abuse. One practical approach is focusing on self-care and seeking supportive communities who understand this dynamic, as isolation does the opposite of healing. Educating oneself about the tactics narcissists use, such as gaslighting and emotional invalidation, also strengthens resilience. If you are recovering, remember that no one deserves to be in a relationship where they feel constantly emotionally undermined. Healing involves recognizing that the abuser’s intentions are calculated and not about genuine connection. Realizing this can empower you to reclaim your emotional stability and rebuild your life away from manipulation.

Calling narcissistic abuse for what it is isn’t mean
Apparently using the correct word to describe a narcissist and being able to name the abuse is “going too far.” 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Meanwhile they called us every name in the book. Tell me in the comments - what’s the most outrageous thing the narcissist in your life ever called you? #narctok
