Even lost seasons are guided.
Navigating times of uncertainty can feel overwhelming, as if you’re walking through a dense fog with no clear path ahead. I've experienced seasons where decisions felt clouded and the future uncertain, much like the feelings described in Psalm 32:8—"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go: I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." This verse reminds us that even when the full journey isn’t visible, divine guidance is ever-present. In those moments, focusing on the next small step helped me regain peace and confidence. Instead of demanding full clarity, I learned to trust that each step forward was led with love and purpose. Prayer became a vital practice, asking for patience and listening carefully for subtle signs and feelings that pointed the way. What also helped was embracing the idea that uncertainty itself is a season guided by God. It’s in these "lost" seasons that faith is strengthened, teaching us reliance beyond sight and understanding. Keeping a journal of prayers and moments of insight provided tangible evidence of progress and reassurance. If you too feel unsure about decisions, timing, or where your current season is headed, remember that it’s okay not to see the whole map. Allow yourself grace, keep your heart open, and seek encouragement from scripture and supportive communities. Trust that while the path may be unclear now, you are being led step by step with care and purpose.
