Quran Jouraling ☪️

While reflecting on 2023 I’ve come to understand that I, in fact,did way too much. What I mean is I was too excited & I may have overwhelmed myself. Not only that but I’ve fallen off for a mix of reasons. The dunya has taken me over once again. I can’t have that. The dunya has never been a place of peace. The only peace I’ve ever found has come from Islam. This year I’ve committed to taking my time to learn & understand.

If you’re anything like me, neurodivergent, you need to find ways to keep things interesting so your passion doesn’t fade. I was scrolling on facebook one day and saw people talking about Bible journaling. Studying & taking notes while reading the Bible to have a better understanding and really take in the knowledge. So I went looking to see if I could do that with the Quran. Luckily, I went down a rabbit hole of ideas. Super exciting. I’ve decided this is how I’ll stay on my studies. Reading a surah, journaling about the surah, learning the surah and UNDERSTANDING the surah. This is also how I’ll hold myself accountable when it comes to prayers. I feel like we don’t talk about how difficult prayers can be as a revert but we can have that conversation on a different post. Finding independent ways to stay on my deen is how I’ll be operating for 2024. I have many goals for this year but this is top priority for me.
