Notes from a survivor

1/10 Edited to

... Read moreSurviving trauma often feels like carrying invisible baggage that weighs heavily on your daily life. From my own experience, the process of healing is not about forgetting or erasing those painful moments but learning to coexist with them and reclaim strength. The haunting feeling of drowning in a room without water or ghost-marks left by hands you never invited can feel isolating—yet sharing this vulnerability publicly can foster connection and understanding. During my own journey of body transformation and self-discovery, I realized that physical change was deeply tied to emotional resilience. Embracing vulnerability helped me shed not just physical layers but emotional armor I had worn for years. It’s important to acknowledge that healing isn’t linear; there are days when memories claw back, and that's okay. What matters is how you rise again, proud of your scars as they tell your survival story. If you’re walking a similar path, allow yourself space to breathe and feel without judgment. Documenting your journey, whether through writing, photography, or conversation, can become a powerful tool in reclaiming your narrative and inspiring others. Remember, surviving is more than enduring; it’s about transforming pain into empowerment and inspiring resilience in yourself and those around you.
