Preparing for baby in the third trimester 🤍

Hi Mamas!! Hope all is well!

We officially have 12 weeks until baby girl makes her arrival and that means full on nesting mode 🤍 Here are some things we are doing to currently prepare for her! Im not sure how all of you feel, but I’m in the mental state of feeling like I can’t sit down and feeling like there’s always something to do.. I find myself trying to be as productive as I can to try and prepare everything before it gets close to her due date! This week I had my glucose test too, I was able to take the fresh test for my first test and it tasted really good surprisingly. We also have our 3d/4d ultrasound within the next couple of weeks which I cannot wait for as well! We got some 28 week ultrasound photos yesterday and I just love looking at them. I’ve been making a little scrapbook for her to gift to her later in life and I’ve been putting all of her ultrasound photos and letters in there so she can hopefully one day look back and be reminded how loved she is❤️ We can’t wait to meet this girl so soon..

When are you due mamas? And how are you feeling? Comment below! Id love to know!! Let’s connect 🥰

... Read moreWow, mamas, that third trimester nesting instinct hits hard, doesn't it? It’s like a sudden burst of energy mixed with an overwhelming urge to get everything ready for your little one! After sharing my personal updates, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into what this nesting phase can look like and some practical tips that really helped me feel prepared. It’s not just about cleaning; it’s about creating a safe, loving, and organized space for your baby and for yourself as new parents. One of the biggest joys for me was setting up the nursery. I remember meticulously folding all the tiny onesies and organizing them into cute storage cubes. It made such a difference to have everything easily accessible. Don’t forget a comfy armchair! It’s not just for feeding; it quickly became my favorite spot for cuddles and reading baby books to my bump. And those adorable patterned blankets? They add so much coziness and are perfect for swaddling or just snuggling. Beyond the nursery, there are some non-negotiables. Getting the bassinet assembled and ready by your bedside was a huge relief for me – one less thing to worry about in those blurry first few weeks. And please, installing the car seat before baby arrives is a must! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing that crucial safety step was done. If you're planning to breastfeed, researching and ordering a breast pump early can save a lot of last-minute stress. I also found it helpful to stock up on little things like baby feeding plates if you plan on baby-led weaning later, or just general baby meal prep items. Then there's the famous hospital bag. I started a list weeks in advance, slowly adding items. For me, it included comfy clothes, snacks, toiletries, and of course, baby's first outfit. It’s amazing how much you can fit in there! And don't forget to pack a separate bag for your partner too. Nesting isn't just about physical tasks; it's also about preparing mentally and emotionally. I found peace in little creative projects, like creating a scrapbook to document my entire pregnancy journey with polaroid photos. It’s such a beautiful way to reflect and will be a treasured keepsake. Even trying out a new craft, like starting a crocheted blanket for the baby, can be incredibly therapeutic. While I felt an urge to do *everything*, I also learned to delegate. Asking for help from family or friends for things like deep cleaning or meal prepping was a game-changer. Remember to prioritize rest and self-care too – your body is doing incredible work! This nesting phase is intense, but it's such a special time of anticipation and preparation. You've got this, mama!

At this point I’m also 12 weeks away and baby may come earlier. I love your ideas and how you’ve set things up! It’s so functional I love it! I tried to apply for the breast pump thru insurance like last week and still haven’t heard anything. What was the process you went thru?
