Aldi Valentine’s Dinner For My Kiddo 🦞❤️

My son randomly asked for lobster — which is funny because it’s not something we eat often. But when I saw these heat-and-eat lobsters for $11.99 at Aldi, I had to make it happen for Valentine’s dinner.

Heart-shaped ravioli + heart macarons to keep the theme going, plus a simple salad and some kind of carb (still deciding).

When I saw Aldi offering a whole cooked North Atlantic lobster for just $11.99, I couldn't resist creating a special Valentine's dinner for my son. Lobster is typically a special occasion item in our house, so finding a convenient, heat-and-eat option made the experience accessible and fun. To complement the lobster, I picked up heart-shaped cheese ravioli for just under $4, which was stuffed with a blend of artisanal cheeses like mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan. These little pasta hearts added a festive and kid-friendly touch, perfect for keeping the Valentine’s Day spirit alive at the table. Cooking them was straightforward—boil for 4 minutes until tender and toss in a simple sauce. Rounding out the meal with heart-shaped raspberry and vanilla macarons was a sweet way to end the celebration without breaking the bank. These desserts are not only visually appealing but also made for a delightful treat. Including a fresh salad and deciding on a carb side made the dinner well balanced and wholesome. Shopping at Aldi allowed me to create a memorable, festive meal that was both affordable and easy to prepare.
