5 TIPS I WISH I KNEW BEFORE WRITING A BOOK 💭

Being a writer is wild because one minute you feel like a genius and the next you’re questioning every word you’ve ever written 😂

I started with a memoir… realized how much of a process it is, currently sending off proposals to publishers and now a romance novel AND then planning a whole new series.

No one really talks about what it actually feels like to write a book—so here’s what I’m learning in real time.

If you’ve ever thought about writing… this is your sign. What would you write?

... Read moreWriting a book can be one of the most rewarding yet challenging experiences you’ll ever undertake. From my own experience and many conversations with fellow authors, a few truths consistently emerge that can make the journey a bit smoother. Firstly, embracing that your first draft will be messy is crucial. It’s part of the process; perfection comes later during editing. Allow yourself to write freely without judgment. That initial chaos is often where the most authentic ideas take root. Secondly, waiting to feel 100% ready can stall your progress indefinitely. Many writers hesitate, fearing they lack skill or the perfect concept. But the best way to get ready is simply to start writing. Momentum builds through consistent effort, not perfect preparation. Next, when it comes to scenes or moments, write the ones that ignite your emotions first. Writing what you feel vividly brings authenticity to your story and engages readers deeply. These emotionally charged passages can serve as anchor points while you build the rest of your narrative. Self-doubt is another universal challenge. It’s normal to question your story, your talent, or even your right to be a writer. Instead of letting doubt paralyze you, try to channel it into motivation. Remember, every writer—from debut novelists to bestseller authors—faces this mental hurdle. Lastly, sharing your writing journey, either through social media or writing groups, can provide valuable support and perspective. Seeing others’ experiences and receiving feedback can help you stay motivated and grow. For instance, exploring hashtags like #authorlife, #writersofinstagram, or #booktok connects you to a community navigating similar challenges. Writing a book isn’t just about the final product; it’s about growth, persistence, and self-discovery. If you’re contemplating writing your first book, take the leap – whatever your story, it deserves to be told.

Zen is infatuated with a Goth girl he sees at the goth club him and his friends go to. Ai has been in love with Zen since childhood they've known each other since they were babies. Oral-Fiona is a solitary witch who joins a coven Carlos is dating two women and his story continues from there.
