✨Workout With Me: Friday Morning Edition✨

happy friday!!! 🥳 wow what a way to start the second weekend of 2024! this morning’s workout was simple, as i had 30 minutes before i had to get ready for classes. simple but super effective, especially in a time crunch! 😇 let me tell you what i did:

🏃 treadmill run: i ran on the treadmill for 20 minutes on speed 7. (usually after ten minutes, i up the speed to 7.5 but since im starting to get back into distance running i kept it at 7 the entire time.) at speed 7, i am running about a 8:34 mile pace and by the time 20 minutes is over, 2.33 miles were ran! to keep myself focused during the time, i like to listen to upbeat music or a interesting podcast

🏋️‍♀️ romanian dead lifts: i did 3 sets of to RDLs with about a minute break in between. to perform an RDL, stand with your feet hip-width apart, keeping a slight bend in your knees, hinging at the hips, and lowering the barbell or dumbbells along your legs while maintaining a straight back, then return to the starting position by engaging your hamstrings and glutes

🙆‍♀️ leg stretches: with all these leg exercises its only right to give them a good stretch after! i sat on the floor with my legs spread in a V-shape, then reached towards the left, middle, then right for 30 seconds 3 times
