WOW I loved every minute of this book. I have yet to read a book by Natasha that I haven’t loved.

This is book 2 in the Only For hockey series, it can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the first book (and all of Natasha’s other books ☺️)

I LOVED Lexi and Kirby and enjoyed reading about their journey of falling in love!

Lexi has been trapped in a horrible marriage for the last ten years. One day she decides she has had enough and with the help from her family she decides to leave. Kirby has had feelings for Lexi since he saw her at their friend’s baby shower but kept his feelings to himself knowing she was married. When he finds out that she left her husband, Kirby decides that he wants to be the man Lexi never had even if it meant only being friends.

Their connection / chemistry felt so real, and I liked that he truly understood what she was going through. I loved watching Lexi and Kirby become friends and then lovers.

Kirby was everything Lexi needed. He made her believe that she deserved better and he gave her that! Kirby is the perfect example of how a man should treat and love a woman.

I'm so happy that they both got the HEA that they both deserve, and seeing Trent get what he deserved was so satisfying.

Make sure you read the Bonus Epilogue - it was chefs kiss. Love this book and this whole series. Highly recommend!

... Read moreReading 'Only for Love' by Natasha Madison truly opened my eyes to how sports romance can blend intense emotional growth with captivating relationships. One aspect that stood out for me was the realistic portrayal of healing after trauma, as Lexi’s struggle to break free from an abusive marriage felt genuine and deeply affecting. The author did a remarkable job of weaving in the found family trope, making it clear how support networks play a critical role in recovery and new beginnings. As someone who enjoys friends-to-lovers stories, I appreciated how the slow-building relationship between Lexi and Kirby unfolded with authenticity. Their chemistry wasn’t rushed but gently growing, which made the payoff feel earned. Kirby’s unwavering patience and respect for Lexi showed a refreshing take on male leads in romance — he was the perfect example of a supportive partner who helps his love interest realize her worth. The hockey romance setting added a unique layer of excitement and camaraderie. The sport wasn’t just a backdrop; it influenced the characters’ personalities and interactions, reflecting themes of teamwork and perseverance. Fans of the genre will enjoy how the series highlights hockey culture while delivering emotional and romantic depth. I also found the bonus epilogue to be a perfect conclusion that delighted fans with satisfying closures. It’s no surprise that the series has gained recognition from outlets like The Wall Street Journal and USA Today given its compelling characters and gripping storylines. For anyone looking to explore Natasha Madison’s work or those who love multifaceted romance novels that address real issues with warmth and hope, 'Only for Love' is a fantastic pick. The combination of opposites attract, healing journeys, and an emotionally rich narrative makes it stand out in today’s romance offerings.

So here are my honest thoughts on the book so far: 📚The biggest win for the author is that she easly transitions well between timelines. Throughout the book she jumps timelines often giving us background information on each character she does this seamlessly! I’m also a squirrel and get confused
