It’s time for a FILL, NAIL DAY
Oh my goodness, nail day is always the best day, isn't it?! After seeing so much amazing inspo, I finally decided it was 'Time to get these done' for spring, and let me tell you, I'm absolutely loving the result! My latest set features gorgeous blue glitter tips, and the color was actually 'inspired by my hubby' – how sweet is that? I went for a stiletto shape this time, which feels so chic and daring, but it got me thinking about all the other fabulous options out there for spring. Let's talk about glitter tip nails first. They're such a simple way to add a touch of sparkle without going full-on bling. You can do a subtle shimmer on the very edge, or a bolder, more concentrated glitter fade. For spring, I adore pastel glitters – think soft pinks, lavenders, or even a delicate mint green. Imagine a natural base with a fine, iridescent glitter tip; it's so elegant! Or, if you're feeling adventurous, a vibrant blue glitter tip (like mine!) against a nude base can really pop. It’s a trend that’s both playful and sophisticated, perfect for shaking off those winter blues. Then there are the shapes! While I'm rocking stilettos now, I was seriously contemplating coffin shaped spring nails. Coffin nails are incredibly versatile and look stunning with so many designs. They're strong, fashionable, and offer a great canvas for intricate art or classic solid colors. For spring, I've seen some absolutely gorgeous coffin sets with delicate floral accents, subtle ombré effects using pastel shades, or even a modern take on French tips with a colored line instead of white. The crisp edges of a coffin shape can really make your spring colors stand out. Maybe next time I'll switch it up and go for a soft peach or daffodil yellow coffin set! Beyond just glitter and coffin shapes, what are the big spring nail trends this year? I’m seeing a lot of minimalist designs with pops of color – think tiny dots, abstract lines, or negative space nails. Chrome finishes are still huge, especially in pearlescent or soft metallic shades that catch the light beautifully. And of course, you can never go wrong with classic pastels – lilac, baby blue, pistachio green, and buttery yellow are always in style for spring. Don't forget about unique French tips; instead of classic white, try a wavy colored line or a micro-French tip for a modern twist. For anyone like me who loves to keep their nails healthy, remember that good 'nailcare' is key to making any design look its best. Keeping your cuticles moisturized and using a good top coat will make your spring manicure last longer and shine brighter. What spring nail trends are you excited to try? Are you team stiletto, coffin, or something else entirely?
