What my “organized” home looks like

Do you think social media has ruined our expectations for organized homes?? 🏠

Here’s a gentle reminder, organized means something different to everyone. ❤️ If it doesn’t look “organized” to you. It’s probably because social media has changed the standard of organization to be very uniform and unrealistic.

My home is super organized. I know exactly where everything is and how much of something I have! It’s easy for me to access everything and I never buy something 2x.

Here’s the secret 🤫👇

#️⃣1. I organized my home to fit my lifestyle needs and the structure of the home.

#️⃣2. While I don’t have a lot of items, I’m definitely not decluttering everything I don’t use! I just keep those things in “backstock” where they won’t bug the things I do use!

#️⃣3. Having a “system” for my items is the MOST important part of keeping it organized and easy to upkeep. You don’t need a bunch of bins or a huge space to do that. Trust me 🤗

Comment “organized” for my top 5 tips for organizing your home to fit your specific needs!!

... Read moreThe concept of an "organized" home has taken on new meaning in the era of social media. Many individuals feel pressured to conform to uniform standards showcased online, which may not resonate with their personal lifestyle or space requirements. This article highlights the importance of redefining what organization means to you. To create an organized home that fits your lifestyle, consider these insights: 1. Assess your individual needs and preferences. An effective organization system should serve your daily routine and the unique layout of your home. 2. Strategic storage solutions can help manage your belongings without needing to declutter everything you own. Don't feel pressured to toss items—storing them in designated 'backstock' areas can keep them accessible without being in the way. 3. Establishing a personal system for organizing is key. This doesn't mean you have to invest in an abundance of bins or storage solutions—often, simple organization methods can be just as effective and less overwhelming. Encouragingly, organization can be harmonious with your living style, leading to a stress-free and functional space. So take the time to reflect on what organization truly means for you, and embrace a home that feels right.
