I thought our laundry machine was broken a few months ago because our laundry kept smelling and did not feel as clean as usual!
I looked up ways to fix it and troubleshooted with this tips that I’ve shared! I realized I just wasn’t up on maintenance for our washer & needed to be better about what I put in the washer for cleaning!
In my head I always thought to fill up the detergent as much as possible. BUT it depends on the brand! Each has a cap of what is the correct amount to put in. So only do the top line for a full load! And other lines for how full the laundry bin is.
Also baking soda is a lifesaver and a cheap way to boost your detergent and laundry smell! And making sure your washer and washer drain is clean will boost your washers lifetime & make it run way better! 🎉

If your washer lacks a cleaning cycle, simply run a normal wash on the hottest setting using vinegar. Don’t forget to inspect and clean the washer drain and drain pipe.
