I tried on my cheerleading uniform from 10 years ago, from my high school, Captain of the Cheerleading team days.
We were the Seahawks!
I loved being the Captain for most years running, I enjoyed guiding my girls through practise and leading them in stunts and the pyramids.
We were a tumbling and stunting team.
We competed in competitions as well as preformed for football and basketball games of our fellow peers. I designed the uniform, got them ordered for the team!! The boys didn’t like them but the girls said they were comfortable! I loved my uniform. Trying it on since 10 years of being a cheerleading has gone by, it fit very snug but I still got it on and felt pretty happy to see myself like this again.
Our team carried on Seahawks legacy as we regular placed 1st and 2nd in completions. Through a few injuries and tough practises, tiring games, seemingly endless wait times in competition, we all had a blast and came together as a team!!!!!
Also appeared at a few fundraising events as well as community gatherings and running events to promote health and fitness!!!
