Hey R6 fam! I've spent countless hours grinding on the Coastline map, and let me tell you, it's one of my favorites for intense gunfights and strategic plays. If you're looking to step up your game on this vibrant map, often called Litoral map by some, I've got some personal insights to share that have helped me secure so many "WON ROUND" notifications, sometimes even going into "ROUND 3" after a tough "ROUND 2"! Let's talk about defense first. One of the most contested sites is usually Hookah/Billiards. When I'm defending here, I always make sure to reinforce the key walls and use my BARRICADE strategically to funnel attackers. Holding the Hookah balcony is crucial, and having someone watching the main door from inside Billiards can really catch attackers off guard. Another critical area is the 2F Astronomy Room – this spot, often overlooked, provides excellent vertical plays if you're defending Penthouse/Theater. I've had some epic moments dropping C4 or shooting through the floor from above when attackers push through there! For the Penthouse/Theater site, controlling the roof hatch is paramount. I typically have a roamer or an operator with good intel-gathering gadgets up there. The 2F Master Bedroom is another high-traffic area connecting directly to Penthouse, so holding those angles or having a quick peek from the 2F Armory Corridor can make all the difference. Don't overlook the main windows there; a quick peek can secure an early pick. Now, on to attacking Coastline. My go-to strategy usually involves droning heavily from the start, especially around the main entrance and the roof. Knowing where the defenders are setting up is half the battle. If they're at Hookah, pushing from the main entrance with a hard breacher and then collapsing through the Hookah balcony or even pushing through the 1F Reception area on the ground floor can be super effective. I've found that a well-coordinated push, even when it's "3 VS 4" or "5 VS 4" in the beginning, can quickly turn the tide. Patience is key when breaching. The 1F Shark (or Shark Bar) is another incredible area for attackers to exploit. It’s a fantastic flank route, especially if the defenders are focused on the other side of the map. I love to use operators with good mobility to quickly move through Shark and catch defenders off guard. Just last week, I managed a triple kill by pushing through Shark and eliminating the remaining "ENEMIES ELIMINATED" to win the "WON ROUND 1" for my team! The key is always communication and knowing your callouts. Saying "enemy in Shark" or "pushing from Astronomy" is so much more effective than just "he's over there." For operator choices, I often lean towards Goyo or Wamai for defense on Coastline to deny entry, and for attack, a good hard breacher like Thermite or Ace combined with an entry fragger like Zofia or Ash works wonders. Remember, practice on the Litoral map makes perfect. Don't be afraid to experiment with different operators and strategies.
