on days like these, i try to utilize my coping skills to avoid the anxiety from consuming me. this is what i do to keep on moving!
1) loosely schedule my day.
scheduling my day by blocks allows me to work through the excutice dysfunction of not know what to do. the schedule allows me to get things done, since i havw a loose plan on what to do without having to make any decisions m.
2) get out of the house
one block of time should be out of the house. whether that be working from a coffee shop or going window shopping, etc. this helps break up my mental bubble.
3)make sure to eat
being hungry leaves me in a worse mood, so i have to be intentional in fueling my body.
4) accountability
i usually tell my husband my plans that way i know someone is looking out for me. it also helps me conceptualize the fact that i am being productive even though i feel like im not.

Anxiety can be a heavy burden, especially during demanding times. To combat this, it’s vital to adopt healthy habits that nurture both mental and physical health. Start by practicing mindfulness and breathing exercises to help ground yourself when stress arises. Engaging in regular physical activity, such as brisk walking or yoga, can significantly reduce feelings of anxiety while boosting your mood. Don't underestimate the power of a well-balanced diet; incorporating foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants can enhance brain health and emotional well-being. Establishing a consistent sleep routine is equally important. Ensuring you get 7-9 hours of quality rest each night allows your body to recover and your mind to reset. Additionally, consider setting aside time each week for activities that bring you joy or relaxation, such as reading, painting, or simply enjoying nature. Building a supportive network of family and friends can also provide a crucial lifeline during tough times. Share your struggles and lean on their encouragement to help you through moments of anxiety. By integrating these coping mechanisms into your lifestyle, you'll find a greater sense of control and calmness in everyday situations.
