EBF Breastfeeding Must Haves

If you’re lucky like me and have had babies that do well with breastfeeding and you don’t have to pump much; this list is FOR YOU!!! Actually it’s for everyone who breastfeeds and pumps; minus the pump I am sharing. She’s small and likely not the best tool if you’re pumping a LOT but for me she’s been the best for the minimal pumping I’ve done and also epic on the go to pump. So let’s break this down mamas 👇

1. Lansinoh Manual Breast Pump:

Like I mentioned; I’d you’re pumping a lot you won’t want this 😂 she’s small but mighty and doesn’t require any electricity because your hand pumps are what extracts your milk. I cannot tell you how helpful this pump was for us, I could easily pump while we were driving places and since we have older kids I could pass back to them after I pumped into a bottle and they could help feed the baby. It also doesn’t make noise which is a blessing if you’re trying to be discrete and not wanting attention drawn to you. Plus it’s less than $25 y’all. total winner 🏅

2. Lansinoh Stay DRY Nursing Pads vs Cotton Pads:

I know we all want to reduce and reuse but this is one area where I won’t budge. With my first baby 15 years ago I got the cotton pads for breastfeeding and during church I knew I was leaking but “I have pads on; I’m golden” so I thought. Well I walked up to get communion in front of everyone and I look down and I had leaked through my light grey dress, big circle milk stains. I almost died then and there and since then I refuse to wear them. At home I don’t really care if I leak through anything, but when we are out and about; I always use the Lansinoh pads and they haven’t failed me once! 😂

Lansinoh Milk Bags:

Honestly the bag brand doesn’t really matter on these. But I would try to keep some milk on hand in the freezer so these bags are amazing for freezer milk. Since I’ve always EBF I haven’t done much; but just here and there when I felt like I had excess I would pump and keep for later on if I got sick or wasn’t producing enough.

Earth Mama Nipple Butter:

This stuff is gold!! As many of you know the first week or so of breastfeeding is brutal; those days when your nipples hurt so bad you literally tense every muscle in your body praying that latch lightly and it’s a pain like no other. Once that is over you’ll still have cracked nipples from time to time so this butter helps heal you back to normal. Also knowing it’s organic matters a lot because obviously they are going to ingest it. So while it might be more than a standard nipple cream; it’s worth every Penny.
