Starting a workout routine when you're feeling unwell is definitely challenging. Yesterday, I began experiencing chills and a general flu-like discomfort, which really affected my energy levels. I also had unexpected visitors in the morning, adding to the fatigue. Despite all this, I pushed myself to maintain my home exercise routine since I know how beneficial staying active is, even in tough days. I found that adjusting the intensity of my exercises helped me avoid overexertion while still moving my body. Light stretching and lower-impact movements allowed me to keep up without worsening my symptoms. Itās important to listen to your body; sometimes, doing something is better than doing nothing. The feeling of fulfilling my commitment to myself outweighed the discomfort. One thing I remind myself is that consistency in exercise, even when feeling a bit indisposed, brings long-term benefits. Of course, resting and recovering are equally important if symptoms worsen. But for me, balancing gentle activity with rest has supported my mood and vitality during this period. If youāre in a similar situation, consider moderating your workouts rather than skipping them entirely. Stay hydrated, take breaks when needed, and aim to move in ways that feel right for your body. Sharing my experience here to encourage anyone struggling to stay active on off days that youāre not alone, and small efforts count towards overall wellness.
