Breastfeeding Journey

Lunch today was simple but so good: Walmart rotisserie chicken, mac & cheese, and my favorite vanilla bananaberry smoothie. 🤍

This week has been a little emotional because my milk supply hasn't been where I'd like it to be. As a breastfeeding mama, it's easy to start questioning if your baby is getting enough. So today I spent some time researching ways to naturally support lactation.

I added 1 tablespoon of brewer's yeast to my smoothie, and I'm going to make it part of my daily routine to see if it helps. Here's to staying consistent, giving myself grace, and trusting the process. 💕

If you're a breastfeeding mama, what helped boost your milk supply? I'd love to hear your tips! 🫶🏽 #BreastfeedingJourney #PostpartumLife #LactationSupport #MomLife #LifeWith3 #DailyVlog

... Read moreBreastfeeding is a beautiful but sometimes challenging journey, especially when it comes to ensuring an adequate milk supply. From my own experience and conversations with other moms, I’ve learned that small dietary and lifestyle changes can make a meaningful difference. One natural supplement many breastfeeding mothers turn to is brewer’s yeast. It’s rich in B-vitamins, protein, and minerals that help support milk production. Incorporating a tablespoon of brewer’s yeast into smoothies or meals daily can boost energy levels and provide important nutrients. However, it’s key to introduce it gradually and monitor your body’s response. In addition to nutritional support, staying hydrated and maintaining a balanced diet with sufficient calories is crucial for lactation. Foods like oatmeal, almonds, and leafy greens have been popular among moms for their potential to enhance milk supply. Aside from diet, emotional well-being plays a major role. Feeling stressed or doubting your milk supply is common, but giving yourself grace and trusting the process can improve your overall experience. Many moms find that connecting with breastfeeding support groups or lactation consultants provides reassurance and practical advice. It’s also helpful to track your baby’s feeding patterns and diaper output to confidently gauge if your baby is getting enough milk. Remember, every breastfeeding journey is unique, and sometimes combining different strategies is what works best. If you’re like me, experimenting with natural lactation boosters and learning from a supportive community can empower your breastfeeding experience. Consistency and patience are key—celebrate each small success and don’t hesitate to seek help when needed.
